Disclaimer Policy

As a blogger, I occasionally make money through things like sponsored content and affiliate links and am also lucky enough to sometimes get sent free goodies to try out. When working with a brand in any capacity, I want it to be as clear as possible to you what my relationship with that brand is.

So, here’s how I’ll declare such relationships on my blog and social media channels.

Sponsored Blog Posts

All sponsored blog posts will always be clearly marked with the word “AD” in the title. The first sentence of any sponsored blog post will also be declaring the partnership.

Sponsored Social Media Posts

If I have been to promote something on social media, I will always put the word “[AD]” at the beginning of the post.

Affiliate Links

Any individual affiliate links will be marked within blog posts with “[AD-affiliate]” and I will mention that the post contains affiliate links within the first sentence. Similarly, affiliate links on social media will be marked with “[AD – affiliate]”

Gifted Items, Experiences and Trips

In both blog posts and social media posts, I will mark gifts with “[AD-Gifted]”, in line with ASA regulations and to make it clear to you guys what my relationship with the brand is.

Previous brand relationships

If I have worked with a brand within the past year and mention them again (not as an ad), I will make this clear within the content.
