Ethical Gift Giving: Ideas for couples

Couples gifts are both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, you only have to use up enough creative juices to come up with one present idea. On the other, you need to find something that both people will like. And, since opposites often attract, that can be quite the challenge.

I usually opt for the three classics when it comes to couples for that very reason: Food (usually chocolate), drink (usually alcoholic) and home (usually in the form of a candle). It’s a system that hasn’t failed me yet. So, be prepared to see plenty of things that fall into those categories in this gift guide.

Of course, as with every post in this series, I’ve made sure that each item I’ve included is ethical in some way, be it that it’s made from recycled materials, is vegan or comes in plastic-free packaging. That way you can shop this Christmas a little bit more consciously.

Scroll to the bottom of this post for my ethical symbols key, so that you can align your gift choices with what matters most to you.
